KALIYUGA
A beautiful story is heard about the signs of Kali Yuga. Once in the Dwapar Yuga, the Pandavas asked Shri Krishna – Tell us something about the Kali Yuga that is coming. Lord Shri Krishna said – All five of you go out and walk around for an hour or two and tell me what you saw.
- First Yudhishthira returned and said – I saw an elephant have two trunks.
- Bhima said, I saw that the mantras were written on the back of a vulture eating a corpse at the cremation ground.
- Arjuna said, “A cow licked her own calf so much that blood started coming out of its body.
- Nakula saw that there were seven wells in a place, six of which were filled with water, while the seventh was completely dry; but not even a drop of water from these six could reach the seventh.
- Finally, Sahadeva said – I saw a huge stone falling from the mountain, but a small grass stopped it.
Lord Krishna explained that the two trunks of an elephant mean that in Kaliyuga, every person will have two faces, they will not do what they are told. Mantra on the back of a vulture mean that a person who studies the Vedas in Kaliyuga will be Enthusiastic about to eat fish and meat. The cow licks her calf so much that it starts to bleed — meaning, in Kaliyuga, parents will love their children more than beyond what is necessary, to the point that it ended them bad person. Water from six wells does not reach the seventh, meaning that even if six brothers are living well in Kaliyuga, they will not help the poor seventh brother at all. The small grass is blocking the giant stone, meaning that no matter how many injustices and sins you commit in Kali Yuga, only the chanting of the two letters ‘Rama’ will wash away all the great sins.
